This 2 bedroom Ohio Cottage, situated on 2.5 acres along the Hocking River, is the ideal vacation rental , whether you're looking for quiet seclusion or outdoor recreation. The cottage, which sleeps 6-8, has central air and is located in Coolville,Ohio which is between Athens, Ohio and Parkersburg, West Virginia.
The area features miles of trails for hiking, biking and ATV's. In the winter months these trails are also used for cross country skiing and snowmobiling. Within minutes are prime fishing and hunting areas as well as swimming, boating, canoeing, jet skiing , horseback riding and picnic areas.
Shopping and dining are nearby by in Parkersburg, Athens, Logan, Nelsonville and Marietta. Other area attractions and points of interest include State Parks in Ohio and West Virginia, The Oil and Gas Museum, The Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, Fenton Art Glass, and Ohio University. The Athens County Visitors site is full of information on what Southeast Ohio has to offer.
If vacationing has become more aggravating and less relaxing and expensive hotels with poor service, crowded restaurants and pools aren't your idea of relaxation, then give Hocking Escape a try.
